Located in the heart of the city on N. Michigan Avenue, this 100-story building offers 360 degree views of not only the Chicago skyline, but also Indiana, Wisconsin and Michigan. The Observatory is on the 94th floor of the building, and is home to the only open-air skywalk in Chicago. Stainless steel screens enclose a walkway on the side of the John Hancock Building; you will truly feel like you are on top of the world. The Observatory offers a free multimedia tour, and plenty of other opportunities to learn about the building and Chicago, such as with the state-of-the-art telescopes and history mural that lines the walls. If you find yourself wanting a bite to eat, the Lavazza Espression Café is the highest in the city.
