Brennan's of Houston is a sister restaurant of Commander's Palace in New Orleans, not Brennan's of New Orleans. Confusing enough but nothing is confusing about the rich Texas Creole dining you find at this Houston institution. Operating since 1967, Brennan's of Houston introduced Houston to fine dining. Some of the noted items on the menu include Turtle Soup, Pecan Crusted Gulf Fish, Bacon Braised Collard & Mustard Greens and, of course, Banana's Foster. Popular for lunch and dinner, it is Saturday and Sunday Brunch that gets most notoriety. Truth be told, Brennan's is never a disappointment. And yes, coming here will save you a trip to New Orleans.
